Animal Kingdom Tips and Chart pdf
The best and the most effective way to study Animal kingdom is to make proper utilization of charts. This chapter presents you ample data to break your brain down. Even after multiple revisions, you might start forgetting stuffs.
In the charts, you have to put the names of all the Phyla in vertical columns. And put the features in the horizontal rows.
Initially start filling the tables with the data extracted exclusively from ncert.
Examples out of ncert are not needed at all.
In the beginning, the table would look tad empty and lonely. But as you do multiple revisions, keep on adding additional material from other resources, like coaching material class, notes, Etc.
This is a picture of my table I framed. In the beginning, it was all neat and clean. With multiple revisions, the messier it became and the more information it held. During my revisions, I would study the chart and then finally study examples from NCERT only. If there were some additional important examples which would appear repeatedly in coaching tests, I would write them in my ncert only and focus on them too.
Another important elusive feature of this chapter are the diagrams which are difficult to memorize and retain. Keep looking at the diagrams repeatedly for maximal retention.
Students often get confuse between the following phyla:
Coelenterata and Ctenophora
Platyhelimenthes, Nematoda and Annelida
Mollusca and Echinodermata
Cephalochordata, Cyclostomata
Reptiles and Amphibians(More importantly the examples)
So study them with more focused and determined mind.
As for extraNCERTicular stuffs, Allen modules are wayy wayyyy better than aakash ones. Better organisation of information, Relevant examples and crisp presentation makes it miles ahead of aakash ones.
I know it won't be of much need, but I will upload a pdf copy of my charts for your reference here.
